THE CITY COMES ALIVE AT NIGHT, SEE THE CITY WALLS ARE HEAVING…

If you are, wisely, thinking of Liverpool as the ideal place for your stag or hen night, then there is no need to spend large sums of money on getting a company to organise this for you. Liverpool is a city that is packed with opportunities for Stag and Hen Nights to have a fantastic time for a fraction of the cost these larger companies will charge you.

Your first stop should be the City Centre to try out some of the many pubs and bars that are on offer. Liverpool truly is a place with a pub on every corner and even the thirstiest of parties will find plenty to occupy themselves all within a very short walking distance of their city centre accommodation. A good way to begin your evening, is to head to the hugely popular Mathew Street area and to Flanagans (0151 231 6821) in the City Centre. A short walk away is the Abbey Road pub (0151 236 4554), which is very close to the former site of the world famous Cavern Club. After drinking in the atmosphere of Mathew Street, you may well be ready to move onto the pubs, bars and clubs that celebrate Liverpool’s more recent, vibrant culture!

A perfect place to start is Concert Square, which offers some of the biggest names in Liverpool club land, with Heebie Jeebies (0151 708 7001), Zanzibar (0151 707 0633) and the upmarket Arena (0151 709 2437) not to mention the Mexican themed Bar Ca Va (0151 709 9300) and the award winning Alma De Cuba (0151 702 7394), just some of the venues on offer in this hugely popular square which is often at the heart of every good Stag or Hen party!

If you fancy an hour or two celebrity spotting in Liverpool, before your stag and hen party dissolves into the usual fit of drunken excess and L-plates then a good place to head to is The Blue Bar (0151 708 7334) in the Albert Dock. Be warned, you’ll have to be dressed up to the nines, and the place isn’t cheap, but its exclusivity means that it is a popular haunt with the great and good of Liverpool socialites, with the odd WAG or two thrown in for good measure. While there The Pan American (0151 702 5840) is worth a visit, especially if your stag evening is slightly more laid back, in which case the funky jazz ambience may well accentuate that nicely!

But being honest, Stag and Hen parties are about excess and fortunately, Liverpool does this better than anywhere else and what better way to end your night at one of the many superb clubs that Liverpool has in abundance. We’ll begin with the cream of the crop, appropriately entitled Cream (0208 969 4477) a name that no clubber will fail to recognise. It is a super club and right here in Liverpool was the birthplace. You’d be a fool to miss out on Chibuku, one of the best nights out in Liverpool situated in Seel Street. Cousin to Chibuku is Circus (0151 708 5051), a big top themed nightclub, also situated in Seel Street and home to the best house music in the City.
